Dana Motors Sets Ambitious Goal of 18,000 EVs per Year

Dana Motors Limited, has unveiled plans to manufacture 18,000 electric vehicles annually at its modernised Lagos assembly plant. This strategic expansion reinforces Dana Motors’ commitment to sustainable mobility and underscores its position as a pioneer in Nigeria’s transition to green transport.

With over two decades of experience, the company is retooling its state-of-the-art facility to meet rising demand for eco-friendly vehicles, connecting with both global automotive trends and Nigeria’s national sustainability objectives. 

Jacky Hathiramani, CEO of Dana Motors, highlighted that the expansion is not merely about increasing output. It aims to generate local employment, bolster technology transfer, and support skills development across the automotive value chain.

Dana Motors remains a certified CNG conversion centre and continues to lead in offering compressed natural gas (CNG) and dual-fuel vehicles, providing practical, low-emission alternatives tailored to Nigerian roads.
