Exciting Updates from the WAAS Following Successful Visit to Equip Auto Expo, Paris
As Nigeria’s automotive sector continues to gain momentum, this month has brought two significant developments shaping the industry’s future. First, the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) has renewed calls for the long-awaited Nigerian Automotive Industry Development Policy (NAIDP) to be passed into law, a move expected to create a more stable environment for investors. At the same time, conversations around boosting local manufacturing and training within the automotive value chain are intensifying, signaling a strong drive to strengthen regional production capacity.
Against this backdrop, the West Africa Automotive Show (WAAS) team has returned from a highly successful visit to Equip Auto Expo in Paris, where new international partnerships were confirmed to further enhance next year’s exhibition.
We’re thrilled to announce that Sterling International (Ghana) and Termomeccanica (Italy) have officially confirmed their participation in the next edition of WAAS, joining a growing list of global exhibitors eager to connect with distributors and buyers across West Africa.
In addition, we are proud to welcome leading lubricant brand Liqui Moly (Germany) to the 2026 exhibitor lineup. Known worldwide for its premium automotive oils and additives, Liqui Moly’s participation marks a significant addition to the show’s already impressive roster and highlights the growing international confidence in West Africa’s automotive market.
The Equip Auto visit provided an invaluable platform to meet key global suppliers, identify future partnerships, and reinforce WAAS’s reputation as the leading gateway to West Africa’s automotive industry. Each new exhibitor confirmation represents a step toward our objective of connecting the region’s buyers, business owners, and distributors with the best global manufacturers and brands.
With hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of industry professionals expected to attend, West Africa Automotive Show 2026 promises to be our most dynamic edition yet.
