January Highlights: Strong Industry Momentum and Key Milestones for West Africa Automotive Show

Nigeria continues to position itself as the automotive hub of West Africa. With ongoing policy reforms, increased attention on local assembly, aftersales development, and a growing demand for quality spare parts and mobility solutions, the market remains one of the most commercially attractive in Africa. Rising vehicle ownership, the expansion of logistics and transport networks, and renewed interest from international manufacturers are driving sustained growth across the automotive value chain.

Reflecting this global interest, January saw a wave of new international exhibitor confirmations for the West Africa Automotive Show. Leading automotive manufacturers and suppliers from across Europe, Asia, and North America have secured their participation, further strengthening the show’s international profile. The new editions consist of A&K Autoteile GmbH from Germany,   Siddhi Plast from India,  UMUM DİZEL OTOMOTİV from Turkey, DUELSAN DUNDAR from Turkey,  Setco Auto Systems from India and All American Auto Parts from USA.

Africa's largest automotive trade show just got bigger, WAAS has confirmed a 5th hall for 2026.

One of the most significant operational updates in January was the confirmation of Hall 5 at the exhibition venue. This expansion was approved in direct response to strong exhibitor demand and early stand bookings, ensuring that WAAS can comfortably accommodate its growing international exhibitor base while maintaining a high-quality visitor experience.

With international participation growing, floor space expanding, and buyer interest building across West Africa, January has firmly set the pace for the months ahead. The WAAS team continues to work closely with exhibitors, partners, and industry stakeholders to deliver a high-impact platform that drives real business opportunities, long-term market growth and confirmed its position as the largest automotive trade show in Africa.
