Kemet Automotive, a proudly African electric vehicle (EV) brand, has crossed a major milestone by securing more than 10,000 vehicle pre-orders before rolling a single unit off the production line. According to co-founder Joseph Nnanna, Kemet is "not just designing for Africa; we are designing from Africa," a sentiment echoed across the industry as the continent seeks alternatives to costly vehicle imports.

Kemet’s approach (dubbed “Functional Sculpting”) fuses elegant aesthetics with practical, rugged design. Every curve of the vehicle reflects the unique environmental and road conditions across West Africa and beyond.
