Yango Motors’ West African Debut Signals Industry Growth
Yango Group, the global technology company best known for its ride-hailing and mobility services, has unveiled a new automotive business called Yango Motors in Côte d’Ivoire. This launch marks the company’s first step into Africa’s automotive market and took place at the Abidjan Auto Show 2025, one of West Africa’s key industry events.
Yango Motors will act as the official distributor for Chinese car brands Bestune and Kaiyi, bringing vehicles tailored to local needs and road conditions. The company plans to offer competitive pricing and flexible financing through partnerships with local banks and leasing firms.
In the future, Yango Motors aims to introduce electric and energy-efficient vehicles suited for urban mobility.
According to Yango Côte d’Ivoire Country Head Kadotien Alassane Soro, the goal is to make mobility “easier, more accessible, and more sustainable” by helping drivers, entrepreneurs and everyday consumers access affordable and dependable vehicles.
Yango Motors is signalling a strategic commitment to the West African market. The show offers visibility among key industry players and positions Yango as a growing partner in the region’s evolving mobility ecosystem.
